Expensive price, but worth it

After wearing these glasses for work over the last couple weeks, I feel like I can give a somewhat limited and honest review. When I first received these glasses, I was taken a little back at what I received. The frames feel cheap and the lenses are made of plastic. It had the feel of almost like I was ripped off. However, once I wore them for flying, the genius of their design and fit came through. They are so light and comfortable, I barely notice I am wearing them. The arms are wide (height wise) and very thin, as well as being extremely flexible. This results in a set of glasses that doesn't interfere with my headset ear pads sealing over my ears like they were designed to. The readers and tint fade from clear to dark aligns perfectly with the glare shield in the aircraft I fly for a living. The readers allow me to sit normally and monitor instruments without having to awkwardly tilt my head to read them clearly. The tinting aligns well with the glare shield level as well. Overall, I am very satisfied with these glasses, but I find them somewhat overly expensive. For me, they are priced at a point I find a little too expensive for what I received. They have a cheap feel to them due to the all plastic construction. But they work really, really well. I wonder how well they will stand up to normal use in the cockpit and work? Would i recommend them to family and friends? The price has me sitting on the fence for that answer and depends on long they stand up to work. So far, I've only been using them for a couple weeks.

really really impressed

I must admit to a little skepticism that the thin temples could make such a big impact on ANR headset effectiveness. But I kept seeing reviews and Juan Browne wearing them (IYKYK). So, I went ahead and got a pair.

I've flown with them now a few times - only had them a couple weeks - and they really do allow the headset to do a better job of noise cancelling. The other positive is that I never even realize they are on because they are so lightweight.

I ordered my pair with the built in readers and they shipped the same day. I have a solid week of instructing coming up and I'm looking forward to having them for the event.

Would buy them again in a heartbeat.

Flying Eyes fit and function

Although pricey, these glasses with readers won't disappoint. Less spendy than high echelon brands or optometrist. Barely there sensation fits snugly without impeding earphone seal on my headsets. You'll be glad your not fumbling for separate readers when timely cockpit flows, programming, or checklist reading is required. The trick to longevity is to stow the eyeglases properly. Non-polarized lenses for pilots is the proper option. Fly on with focus.
