FLIGHTDECK 360™
PROGRESSIVE PILOT LENSES
Vision Built for the Cockpit

Clear near vision above and below, precise distance vision ahead — engineered for professional pilots. See overhead panels, instruments, and the horizon naturally — no head tilting, no scanning compromise.

Why Standard Lenses Fall Short in the Cockpit

Typical progressive lenses are designed for everyday tasks — near vision only at the bottom of the lens and distance vision at the top. That works for desk or phone use, but pilots don’t work that way.

In the cockpit, you constantly look:
  • UP at overhead panels
  • Straight ahead at the horizon
  • Down at instruments and charts
What Makes FlightDeck 360™ Different

Designed for Vertical Scanning & Cockpit Ergonomics

Unlike typical progressives, FlightDeck 360™ lenses include near-vision areas at both the top and bottom of the lens — making overhead panel work as comfortable as looking down at your instruments while leaving the center corridor tuned for clear distance viewing.
  • IOT Digital Ray-Path 2™ Technology
Advanced calculations incorporate how your eyes naturally focus (accommodation), reducing distortion and peripheral blur while improving dynamic comfort and clarity.
  • Personalized Fitting Matters
Optimal performance relies on careful seg placement and fitting height — pilots may need the near-vision zone shifted slightly up or down for perfect alignment with their natural posture in the cockpit. Your consultation helps dial this in.

Real Benefits in Real Flight

Comfortable scanning from overhead panels to instruments

Reduced head movement & neck strain

Seamless transitions between near & distance vision

Less visual fatigue during long flights

Clearer vision without compromising any part of the flight deck scan

How FlightDeck 360™ Lenses Work for You

FlightDeck 360™ are progressive lenses crafted specifically for pilots. They combine traditional progressive optics with two near-vision zones — one at the top and one at the bottom — while keeping distance vision crisp through the center. This design matches how pilots scan the cockpit: up, forward, and down.

Who benefits the most:

  • Airline pilots (airliners, regional jets)
  • Corporate & charter pilot
  • Military aviators
  • Helicopter pilots
  • Any professional pilot using overhead instruments regularly

How to Order FlightDeck 360™

Step 1 — Consultation

Call, email Flying Eyes Customer Support or click the button below to schedule a consultation with our in-house Optician.

Step 2 — Lifestyle & Fit Evaluation

We’ll ask about how and where you fly, preferred posture, headset use, and cockpit scan style. These lifestyle questions help determine whether the standard seg placement works or if a slight adjustment will improve comfort and performance.

Step 3 — Measurement & Prescription

Careful measurement of your eye height, PD, and fitting height, with particular attention to how you hold your head in typical cockpit posture. Based on both script and pilot posture, we optimize segment placement.

Step 4 — Lens Creation & Delivery

Once ordered, lenses are crafted with IOT Digital Ray-Path 2™ free-form progressive technology and shipped to you. Final adjustments may be made if needed.

FlightDeck360™ FAQs

Are FlightDeck360™ progressives just like normal progressive lenses?

No — they’re engineered with extra near zones to help pilots see above and below eye level without tilting the head.

Do most pilots adapt to FlightDeck360™ quickly?

Adaptation is usually smooth when properly fitted with consideration to head posture and plane environment.

Can I use FlightDeck360™ glasses outside the cockpit?

Yes — but their design is optimized for vertical scanning tasks common in flight.

Do they work with any frame?

FlightDeck 360™ can be ordered in nearly all Flying Eyes frames; some frames with small vertical B-measures may be less ideal for segment placement.

Can I order FlightDeck360™ lenses online?

For now, ordering is through consultation only; we plan to enable direct web ordering once our fitting protocol is perfected.
