I thought my new Bose A30 headset was defective when noise invaded the left earcup whenever I turned my head. But when I saw a YouTube review (AvWeb) of the Flying Eyes product I ordered a pair of Kestrel Aviators and the noise issue was resolved. The gray gradient lens with a 1.5 bifocal lens is perfect now that my recent cataract surgery has left me with a lens best for distance and now I need reading glasses. The Flying Eyes lets me see to the horizon clearly but I no longer have to squint to read the frequency tuned in the hand held radio in my non-electric 1946 Aeronca Champ. I decided to leave the Kestrel's in the aircraft and bought another style in copper gradient just for the car. I hope these are as robust as they appear and look forward to using them for a long time.
Glad I had the chance to try on several styles. I ended up with this one because it fit my face the best. Also the bifocals go unnoticed when I’m flying.
The Kestrel Bifocals are very comfortable and make the near vision perfect while maintaining normal distant vision. Great match for the cockpit.
Quality, well engineered eye wear.
Love these. Got them for riding my motorcycle and they are fabulous. Fit is awesome under my helmet and the reader part is placed perfectly.
The tint is perfect for all day wear and the 2.0 readers are right for reading. Very comfortable and easy on the eyes in all lighting. Preferred over the grey lens which is great in direct sunlight but a little to dark for me otherwise.
