Customers praised these lightweight bifocal sunglasses as "lighter than air" with excellent optics. Ideal for aviation and motorcycle helmets due to thin arms. Wraparound design reduces back-reflection. Some noted bifocal placement issues—too low or distracting line for certain activities. Outstanding customer service mentioned.

Great glasses to wear really light and can easily be worn for long periods of time
I purchased a pair of non Rx bifocals a few months ago. Unfortunately, they got stolen. I replaced them and, other than the cost, am very happy with them. I wish these were available when I was flying. As it is, they work great with my motorcycle helmets.
I never thought much of bifocals, especially in sunglasses but these have transformed my flying experience. The lenses are perfectly positioned for me and the graduated tint means that my reading experience is not impacted by reduced light. This is the second pair of Flying Eyes I have purchased and they are as comfortable and lightweight as ever. The other major improvement (for me) with this parr is their wrap around style, preventing any reflection from the back side of the lens. Very happy with these new glasses.
Great glasses... comfortable
easy to transition back and forth between bifocal and distance viewing
Love these glasses, super light and perfect for wearing inside motorcycle helmets.
I now own two pairs (one sunglasses and one clear) for flying and absolutely love them. They are both non Rx bifocals and work perfectly when I fly. The second pair did not have the adjustable nose bridge and sat too low on my face, making it hard to see my panel. Jennifer went out of her way to find a pair that did (from old inventory), and they fit perfectly. I strongly recommend that you bring back the adjustable nose bridge, as this allows the pilot to place the transition from looking out to looking at the panel the optimum position.
I love these sunglasses! I recommend them to everyone! So lightweight and clear images! My favorite pair!
Takes a little time to get used to this but it is the best solution I have come across in a while solving the headset and weight issue and also seeing fine print and symbols. Bravo
They were too small for my face. I’m exchanging them for similar Luzon.
I bought these mainly for aviation.. to have non-polarized glasses that can quickly switch between close-up with not much tint, to tinted and unmagnified for my still-good distance vision. With my average sitting height in a Piper Cherokee, the top of instrument panel does go slightly above the line of bifocal, but I would not change it. Because in general use (such as 10 minutes prior, glancing at preflight items, or working at a table) I want less magnification area. The magnification is also missing from the left and right outer lower field of vision. I found this makes them perfect for riding a motorcycle with its low left and right mirrors.
It took a while to get comfortable with using bifocals (at all) but clearly, these are well thought-out and I can’t think of a way to improve on them. The more wraparound shape also reduces back-reflections, as compared to the more open “Osprey" frame glasses.
The glasses are great quality, sturdy and great to wear with a headset. The bi-focal lens In the lower quadrant of the sunglasses lens is too big for my liking and when flying I find the line between the bifocal lens and normal lens distracting as its in my line of sight looking outwards and slightly below. So for me it was an expensive mistake as I cannot wear them while flying in the airline which is the reason I bought them.
Very light and great optics
Staff is absolutely amazing
These sunglasses surpass any other brands I’ve purchased. They are extremely comfortable with my headset as well as great clarity when reading digital screens. They are beyond my expectations.
on my 3rd pair of these and lived the fit and consistent quality in every pair.
Great, comfortable aviator glasses. Customer service is outstanding!
I’ve been an Oakley wearer for the past 14 years. Bought these on a recommendation of a friend and I really like them. Now I just wish I had a second pair with a different frame style.
These are terrific glasses for use in the cockpit. They are unpolarized so glass displays are easy to read, the gradient tint makes for excellent vision out the window as well as looking down at the instrument panel, and they look great on you.
Fit nice, great for the helmet.
Due to my need for bifocals in the cockpit, I had to try multiple styles and lens color schemes to arrive at the right fit for me. Harley and other staff members helped guide me through my options. The custom sample kit program provided the means by which to accomplish the sampling via an online purchase system. Ultimately I landed on the Golden Eagle Sport bifocal as the absolute best for in-cockpit use. I am a very happy customer!
I have been buying your glasses for several years. I have always bought the same sunglasses with readers. My last purchase I was disappointed to see that the readers are now lower in the lenses. Before I could see all my instruments on the panel without have to adjust my head. With my latest purchase I have to tilt my head up and is difficult to adjust my sight in and out of what ever I’m flying, driving or operating. I really hope y’all go back to your original placement. It was a winner. That’s why I have bought 5 pair over several years. Thanks
I took a chance on these glasses, getting older I'm needing bifocals to be able to see my iPad while flying. These glasses work great, under my headset or out on the ramp, will buy again!
Clear and comfortable
I purchased them strictly for all day use with a motorcycle helmet. The thin arms provide unrivaled comfort. It also appears they 100% made in the USA. The caveat is the plastic lens with good to very good optics. At this price point optics should be perfect. Flying Eyes could likely provide data on the optics as I may be wrong. I do appreciate the $35 insurance to have them replaced. I suspect the $35 is equal to, or less than, the cost of manufacturing. Nonetheless, it’s great deal. I look forward to them being comfortable for endless miles.
I originally order a pair of glasses with bi-focal in them. They were real easy to work with and exchanged them with a non-bi-focal pair. I highly recommend these glasses for pilots.
They do work great with headsets and the bifocal size is large making it easy to see.
As a rider of a certain age I need the bifocal lens to clearly see the dash and my GPS screen. The thin ear pieces make for a very comfortable fit inside a helmet. And the lense tint allows for them to be worn even on overcast days. They have become my general go to sunglasses for most activities.
I recently purchased a pair of the Flying Eyes bifocal sunglasses. These are great glasses and do a great job of protecting my eyes while riding.
